Aquabus Website Design
AQUABUS WEBSITE DESIGN
The Aquabus’s 13 vessels make stops up and down False Creek every 15 minutes or less — so you never have to wait long for a ride. All of their routes are wheelchair accessible and bike-friendly. Hop aboard their iconic rainbow boats to enjoy the spectacular Vancouver skyline from a unique and impressive vantage point!
The Aquabus had been in business since 1985, but in recent years they were starting to lose business to a competitor ferry company. One main reason being they had not updated their website in many years. They needed a website the showcased the best features of there company so they could outshine the competition.
Create a website the had an optimized online booking process and made researching their routes and schedule super easy for tourists. We drew inspiration for the design from other local companies and revamped there iconic rainbow logo so it could be repurposed for the whole brand. The team has some great photography taken by some of their operators, which we relied on to really sell the beautiful vibe of sailing around False Creek.
For this project, I focused on interface design and branding. I created wireframes and website mockups. My good friend and colleague, Giorgio Riccardi from Sea to Sky Web Solutions, developed the website.
