Avanti Commerce is a startup company with a great idea: create a scalable remote order and pay platform for the fast food industry. They were one of the first in the business to build a platform on this scale. They started out by building Subway’s catering platform and maintained its use across North America.

Problem:
They wanted to take what they had learned with Subway and adapt it to a new platform that could benefit any fast food restaurant.

Solution:
The end result was a platform that, with a few minor tweaks, could be adjusted to suit any fast food chain, from burger shops to coffee houses.

CONTENT PLANNING

We started this project by analyzing the Subway catering platform and seeing what elements of the system we could modify for other industry menus and ordering processes. We mapped out all of the old functionality and researched the competition, although limited, for ideas on new functions to add.

WIREFRAMES

After planning the new functionality, I began wireframing a variation of the new “starter menu.”

BURGER SHAKE

The base theme, “Burger Shake,” is a fake burger shop with a “starter menu” designed to challenge the functionality of the platform. This base theme allowed for the complexity of options that arise when building a burger and combined it with the ability to make simple additions like adding a Coke and small fries.
