Quick Water Canada is a 100% Canadian owned company. Their goal is to continue to help grow the surfing and paddling spirit across Canada. Quick Water Canada searches the globe to bring you the very best the world has to offer in surfing and paddling products. Each selected brand must exhibit environmental sustainability or impact reduction through its manufacturing, product materials, operations, or petroleum use reduction.
Problem:
Quick Water Canada had a large stockpile of inventory that they had been selling via word of mouth and by going to races and shows, but they now needed a website so they could facilitate more sales and spend less time on the road.
Solution:
Make a Shopify site that could showcase all their products and Athlete partnership and is simple enough that the company owner could update and add new products as they came in. We also updated the social media branding and organization so everything was accurately and clearly linked to the website.
CONTENT PLANNING
Quick Water Canada was initially supposed to be a different company with many product lines. But after carefully examining the market, the owner realized it was better to pair down the product line and focus on the essentials. Luckily, all the time spent on company research was not lost. We were able to use almost all of the content planning from the other project and rebrand it to work for Quick Water Canada. This cut the research phase for the QWC project down from 6 weeks to 2!

WHAT THE CLIENT HAD TO SAY
We had been growing our business slowly up to a point through word of mouth and by doing a lot of ground work traveing to races and events. We really were not capitalizing on our partner relationships, athletes and engagements and ultimately we were not converting all this work into sales. We knew we needed to get online but how? The whole process of building a website that did what we needed it to do e-commerce wise and at the same time effectively communicate our culture and engaged our partners and athletes all seemed too difficult. Kelsey, made it very easy and was really good at understanding our industry, our business and what we needed the site to do. It was much less painful than we thought. Most importantly, she was able to effectively encapsulate our culture into the site and also did an awesome job on our logo and branding. Kelsey took our vision and turned it into reality
